DHA Found Solution for Water Shortage

JUST IN SHORT:

DHA has always faced shortage of Water since its birth and it got worst with souring Population, more wealthy people shifting to this Posh area due to Law & Order situation in other parts of the city even though its not best in DHA as well.

With Water Tankers sky rocketing prices, residents were under deep economic pressure but had no other option but to pay the for the Water Tankers because after all there is No Life with Water.

DHA people never thought of Water boring as a solution to this endless problem because everyone thought that the Water few hundred meters from the sea would nothing be else but Salty and useless for anything.

However, miraculously the water just 25 feet down below DHA bungalows is if not sweet then neither its salty. The people can use it in everyday life apart from drinking.

The Water boring cost approx Pak Rupees 30 K but it has solved nearly 80% of Water shortage for the residents of 6 flats in a commercial building.

DHA people should thank to Allah for this miracle.

No alternate routes are marked by the traffic police. People driving cars have to find their own way to go to the other side. Due to road closure, the schools near to shrine are closed and the students were seen enjoying and playing on the streets.

Water Crisis in DHA

Water is not available in taps since last four days. Water to DHA comes from Dhabeji Water plant near Thatta. No electricity at Dhabeji means no water pumping to Karachi. All crisis are closely related to each other.

Days of British Raj

One of the best thing I like about British period is that they planted trees at the side of every main road of the country. In hot weather, tree shade is a big blessing for the people walking. Even, I remember, National highway was almost covered with tree shades from Hyderabad to Hala until late 80's. The whole journey from Hyderabad to Hala used to be quite comfortable even without air-conditioner in car or bus.

I really don't understand why our governments don't plant trees at the side of main road and streets any more. One of the excuse I heard that the trees, when grow taller, break the electricity wires. This must be true to some extend but there must be some solution to this problem so that we could have trees on the streets and people can have some comfort walk in hot weather days and we can also have less air pollution. I am not saying this for my comfortable because, Alhamdulillah, I always traveled in my own car since I was born.

I would like to request to our government to work on it and plant trees.
